First Iowa Title Corporation

First Iowa Title Corporation (FITC) provides real estate title report and abstract services to Boone, Marshall and Webster counties in Iowa. FITC was founded in 2012 when they became BCP Family Companies, though Boone and Webster County Abstract Companies have been providing continuous service since 1856. Marshall County was added in 2020. Operating in the only US state where private title insurance is illegal, each FITC office searches the public documents in their county for documents that affect title to real estate. The results of this search are summarized in abstracts specific to each property that are utilized by Iowa attorneys to render opinions concerning title. First Iowa Title participates in the Iowa Title Guaranty’s Standard of Excellence program and is a member of the Iowa Land Title Association, American Land Title Association, and the Iowa Title Guaranty.
