Professional Background and Achievements

Since graduating from ISU, I have managed several businesses within the hospitality industry ranging from restaurants, nightclubs, hotel and catering facilities. As of 2022, I will have managed Hickory Park Restaurant for 30 years. Hickory Park has typically employed 250-275 people and served an average of 17,000 guests per week.

When did I start working for BCP and what positions have I held?

BCP purchased Hickory Park in August of 2019.

What was the last job I had before coming to work for BCP?

I have held the position of General Manager of Hickory Park Restaurant since 1997. Prior to 1997 I managed companies owned and operated under Hickory Park ownership as well.

What is my specific role at BCP beyond my job title?

I take pride in representing Hickory Park in and outside of the business. Ames is now my hometown where I have served in educational leadership roles, philanthropic boards, and I currently serve on the Board of Directors for Ames Chamber of Commerce.

Family

My husband and I are celebrating our 20th year of marriage this year and couldn’t be more proud of our two sons, Tucker and Jones. They are truly our daily highlight!

Hobbies

I truly love to stay busy in and out of work!  When I’m not at work we are escaping to our lake home at Lake Panorama. My husband is a contractor and enjoys both the outdoors and also the endless projects! We will never be “done”. Our sons are amazing swimmers and we both enjoy watching them conquer all water sports known to the lake!

Fun Fact

Harrison Ford once flew into Ames specifically to eat at Hickory Park. He tried desperately to go unnoticed, but sadly I might have been his #1 fan at the time and spotted him upon arrival!  It was such a fun treat for everyone to meet him.
