Professional Background and Achievements
My career started in human resources in an outsourcing company where I worked with over one hundred companies ranging from law offices to manufacturing companies to help with their payroll, benefits, safety, and human resources. I changed career paths after 12 years at the same company to focus on the benefit side of Human Resources. After 3 years of working with benefits only, I came back to work in Human Resources again.
When did I start working for BCP and what positions have I held?
I began work at BCP in April of 2015 as the Director of Human Resources. I have continued to grow in this role as new companies have been merged into the BCP portfolio allowing me the opportunity to gain experience in new state laws and new industry compliance requirements.
What was the last job I had before coming to work for BCP?
Client Management for 3 years with Businessolver and prior to Businessolver I spent 12 years with Merit Resources in human resources and client management.
What is my specific role at BCP beyond my job title?
I manage the payroll, benefits, human resources, recruiting, safety, and workers compensation for all companies in BCP. I work to ensure we have the most up to date operating systems from HRIS platforms to ATS systems to keep work moving at a fast pace while remaining accurate and efficient.
My husband Steve is a Network Administrator for an executive office suite in downtown Des Moines and a Managing Partner with the Iowa Craft Beer Tent. I have two kids who keep my husband and I busy with tennis, baseball, and basketball.
I spend most of my summer on our houseboat in Saylorville Marina. I enjoy baking, cake decorating, biking and snow skiing.
My favorite arcade game is Galaga, and I can play it for hours.
